ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. -- The Seminole County Fire Department reports that nine dogs inside a kennel attached to a shed were killed by a fire that broke out along Broadway Street early Sunday morning.

When crews arrived, they found two sheds on fire between two houses. SCFD says one of the sheds contained a kennel that housed the deceased dogs.

Just before 3 a.m., the fire department received multiple 9-1-1 calls about the fire. Upon their arrival, firefighters found two sheds between houses engulfed in flames, SCFD said. The nine dogs were found dead in a kennel that was attached to one of the sheds along Broadway Street.
