Rasmus was ineligible to pitch in the game due to pitch-count rest rules, having thrown 54 pitches during an extra-inning victory earlier in the week.
Despite the emotional exit, Rasmus captured national attention and cemented her name in the LLWS record books with a series of historic milestones:
