Bad attitude? Most probability. But after a while you just have to say how much is enough. OK, let me beat the dead horse. So much has been written about the debacle with the American Music Festival and Daytona State College College, you're probably sick of reading about it and most bloggers are sick of writing about it. But allow me one more time.

Gov. Scott's first budget plan on the right track, but it needs more study before final adoptions are made

During the last election, Florida Governor Rick Scott promised bold action to get our struggling economy back on track. Scott said he would run the state more like a business, by increasing accountability in government, streamlining public programs, and shifting some government functions to the private sector.

Lessons learned the hard way: What we have been in Volusia County is now history; what we can be is the future

I try not to be a difficult person and sometimes I succeed. A lot of times I don’t. Getting older does have one advantage: You can speak your mind more often without worrying what the consequences are going to be. Maybe angering your boss, your wife’s family, that kind of thing. There have been dealings in Volusia County in the business and arts communities over the years that I have just shut my mouth about and kept my opinions to myself because as a businessman, I did not want to piss anyone off.

Teens wrapped up in their own cyber world with the net, IPods, cell phones (for texting) and, of course, 'apps'

Between texting 24/7, checking Facebook as much as possible, tuning in to Glee every Tuesday night, playing Black Ops, and having Katy Perry playing  in our ears during it all, teens are almost always using some sort of technology.

A study shows that children, ages 8-18, spend about seven hours and 40 minutes a day with media.

This doesn't even include the time using the web for something school related. This also does not include the time texting.

Judge's ruling against Obamacare jolt to leftist-government leanings of president

DAYTONA BEACH SHORES, Fla. -- Monday, Jan. 31, 2011, will go down in history as the day federal judge Roger Vinson moved the nation one very important step closer to a return to constitutional government and the defeat of Obama’s attempt to impose his vision of a leftist government fully in control of the lives and liberties of the people.

Round and round the Obamacare debate continues unabated with partisan politics as strong as ever

Round and round it goes and where it stops nobody knows. This sprang to mind when I heard about a federal judge from Florida declaring Obamacare unconstitutional. If I recall correctly President Obama was elected upon his promise to reform health care in this country so everyone had access to it.

Ahead of His Time: Timothy Leary and the psychedelic culture of the 1960s

Key Words

"Ralph? The time has come, to go out of your mind. Are you ready, Ralph? Are you ready to die and be reborn? First you must be in a state of grace. First, you must examine yourself in this mirror of confession. What do you see there? Your personality: all your goals, and your fears, your little ambitions... the chess game of your life. You have to check that Ralph, you can't take that on the trip with you. And then that other side of you Ralph, that dark unconscious, all those animal impulses which you hide and keep down below. All this baggage too must be checked. You can't take that on the billion year voyage to God." - Timothy Leary, from the album: "Turn On, Tune In, Drop Out"
