ORLANDO, Fla. -- Looks like it's hit or miss with rain or sunshine heading into the weekend and Monday.
The National Weather Service in Melbourne is calling for 30- to 50-percent precipitation, at least through Monday, here in Central Florida—from Orlando to Sanford, Daytona Beach east along the I-4 corridor, I-95 north to Ormond Beach, and New Smyrna Beach south.
Today's weather calls for a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2 p.m. It will be mostly sunny, with a high near 92. The southeast wind will be 5 to 10 mph. Then, tonight, there is a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 8 p.m. It will be partly cloudy, with a low around 75. The southeast wind will be 5 to 10 mph.
Here is the extended forecast for the weekend and into Monday:
Saturday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 92. Southeast wind around five mph. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts are possible in thunderstorms.
Saturday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2 am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 76. Southeast wind around five mph.
Sunday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 93. South wind around five mph.
