This very entertaining day had fun for all ages. There were well known home based bands such as Marc Monteson Quartet Sounds, the Beu Sisters, Thom Chambers and Louisiana Steve, and Payne Brothers, offering their talent to attract and entertain the crowd on this day of sunshine and warm temperatures.

Soloists from the high school such as Senior Justin Watson also played for the light crowd.

Brian Sullivan, teacher and Leader of the marching band, held this fundraiser to help reach his goal of $30,000 overall to buy new uniforms for the students in the upcoming school year. About $3,000 was raised during the Saturday fundraiser.

Being a fan of Frank Sinatra I enjoyed hearing Marc Monteson sing “Come Fly Away with Me” and “I Get a Kick Out of You.”. Thom Chambers joined him in a number and walked to the audience playing one of his saxaphones.

The New Smyrna Beach Middle School Jazz Band played and did improvisation and the high school marching band and jazz band and played several sets. The high school drill team spontaneously danced a number by the Payne Brothers as they played.

People who attended were treated to fantastic sounds of local talent and had a great time to raise money for our high school marching band.
