I have two children living in Europe and I have had many visits during the Bush years. We were hated!

My daughter, Jennifer Glasse, who is a journalist with Voice of America, has a very good Norwegian journalist friend, Asne Seierstad, who wrote “ The Book Seller of Kabul.” You should read the book.I was invited to have lunch with my daughter and Asne and during our conversation she said this of George Bush: “He is a dangerous Cowboy.”

That about says it all regarding our perception throughout the world for the Bush and Cheney years.

There was no reason for this. None!

NSBNEWS.net Endorsement: Judy Reiker for NSB city commissioner

NSBNEWS.net has thoroughly examined the campaign platforms of Zone 1 City Commissioner Randy Richenberg and challenger Judy Reiker. We are convinced the time for change is now and absolutely necessary if New Smyrna Beach is to move beyond the bickering and partisanship that has resulted in millions of taxpayer dollars being wasted and nothing of significance to show for it. NSBNEWS.net endorses Reiker in the Nov. 3 elections.

Richenberg restores campaign Web site after NSBNEWS.net endorsement of opponent Reiker points out he had allowed it to expire

Zone 1 City Commissioner Randy Richenberg's Website, Randyrichenberg.com, was back up shortly after NSBNEWS.net announced its endorsement of challenger Judy Reiker, pointing out that the incumbent's own Web site was no longer accessible because he had allowed the domain name for it to expire on Oct. 12, a full 10 days before it was renewed.

NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- Shortly after NSBNEWS.net posted its endorsement in favor of Judy Reiker, pointing out that Zone 1 City Commissioner Randy Richenberg had allowed his campaign Web site to expire, the incumbent had the Web site back up again.

Richenberg did not explain to those who view his Web site or even on his MySpace page why he had allowed it to expire, which begs the question: If Richenberg can't even stay on top of his own campaign Web site, how can he expect prospective voters to have any confidence in him for a second term in office?
