NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- The man suspected of robbing the TD Bank on State Road 44 Saturday morning was apprehended and arrested without incident just before midnight, New Smyrna Beach police Sgt. Valerie Joyce told NSBNews.net early this morning.

Frank Freeman, 58, was arrested just before midnight Saturday by Volusia County Sheriff's Deputy Dominic Amendolare after police obtained a warrant for his arrest. The deputy made the collar because Freeman lives outside the city limits.

Freeman was charged with bank robbery and was being held without bail overnight at the Volusia County Branch Jail in Daytona Beach, Joyce said.

An undisclosed amount of cash was taken in the 9:46 a.m. robbery of the bank. No injuries were reported.
