Personal health issues nothing to mess with

Sera and I spent a little time Saturday afternoon on Flagler Avenue for the Flamingo Follies art festival after covering the Cudas homecoming football game and all of the pageantry with it, but I have otherwise been unable to do much this weekend. My body is telling me to slow down. I am dealing with abdominal pain and bleeding.

I hope that resting overnight Saturday will give me some strength to continue coverage of the New Smyrna Beach Homecoming Weekend with a return to Flagler on Sunday and the outdoor Eat Street restaurants event at Norwood's Restaurant & Wine Shop on the beachside of the North Causeway on Third Avenue.

This event features foods from an array of eateries on Third Avenue, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend Saturday, having given my word in advance that it would be covered.

As a result of being sick, I have a mountain of stories, blogs, videos ands photos to update, with Sera's help. I am sorry about the delay, but some things are beyond my control. I have been told by family and friends not to push myself so hard because of concern over my well being. My body is telling me to stop and now I am listening. Yes, I have received medical attention and I need to listen to the doctor, too.
