PORT ORANGE -- 2012 is now upon us. This coming year will bring many challenges, and we as a people will face many choices to determine which way we want to move forward. Our economic situation remains uncertain.

We have all worked together to get things back on track, but we haven’t yet returned to where we want to be. Many are still hurting. But the New Year will also produce new opportunities. Various signs point to a budding recovery, and many Americans are now doing better today than they were just one year ago.

In addition, another election is now on the horizon. This November, we’ll once again take part in the great American tradition of choosing who we want to represent us in government and what vision we have for the future. I hope you’ll join me in sharing in a spirit of hopeful optimism for the future and for the coming year.

Thanks for all your support in 2011, and I look forward to seeing what 2012 may bring.

Sincerely,
Dorothy L. Hukill
State Representative, dist. 28
