NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- What started out as a motorist spinning his wheels on U.S. 1 here in New Smyrna Beach early this Friday morning resulted in a pursuit by police with the driver clocked at 100 mph through Port Orange and South Daytona before his ride ended when police deployed stop sticks.
The driver bailed from the vehicle, but was apprehended and taken into custody, said Hank Springer, publisher/editor of portorangeareanews.com. The police audio was captured by John Graff of Trouble Shooter Services.
