NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- Under bright sunny skies Saturday, people craned their heads upwards for a once-in-a-lifetime view of an elite group of parachuters with their precision landings at the fourth annual New Smyrna Beach Balloon and SkyFest.

The highlight of the day, no doubt was the death-defying aerial maneuvers of the U.S. Army's Golden Knights.

"This is all so unbelievable," said Sally Mackay, a founder of the event and former New Smyrna Beach mayor. "This is great entertainment for the entire family -- people of all ages."

The crowds have been tremendous since Friday's start of the three-day event, which concludes today at the New Smyrna Beach Municipal Airport on U.S. 1.
