What we're working on going into the weekend

NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- It has been a very hectic week between dealing with the Trayvon Martin developments and continuing our rebuild of NSBNews.net with the umbrella Headline Surfer, but we'll have fresh content going into the weekend, including new segments in our investigative series "Show Me the Money: New Smyrna Beach," the return of blogger Ellen Darden, a new celebrity interview from super teen Pavlina Osta and a new Hukill's House blog wrap up on the Legislature session from State Rep. Dorothy Hukill.

We'll also have a feature spread on a recent American flag raising ceremony on the beachside, a new Making the Grade from blogger Sally Gillies and more analysis regarding the Trayvon Martin case and an update on efforts to improve beach driving safety. Our election coverage will look at the slate of announced candidates for public office and a unique look at how one Edgewater business owner is speaking his mind.

Over the next several days we'll also look back at the growth of NSBNews.net over the last four years and how proud we are to provide an alternative 21st century local voice.
