DELAND -- The West Volusia Advertising Aurthority has installed new officers on its board of directors. Bill O'Connor was named chair, Sharon Hughes was selected as vice chair and Doug Little as the treasurer. The appointments were made earlier in the day Wednesday.
The West Volusia Ad Authority oversees the administering of bed taxes for tourism from overnight hotel and accommodator stays.
It is one of three such authorities in Volusia County. The other two are the Halifax Advertising Authority in Daytona Beach and the Southeast Volusia Advertising Authority in New Smyrna Beach.
