Oak Hill's Riverfest at Mary DeWees Park a community blessing

OAK HILL -- The city of Oak Hill celebrated its Riverfest Saturday at Mary Dewees Park with lots of residents from the community and even nearby communities joining in on the fun. It's good to see our city enjoy the efforts of those who put time and effort into putting this annual event together.

A special thanks goes out to Gary Bittle and City Commissioner Kathey Bittle for all their hard work.

We had venders sellings wood carvings, jewelry, plants and food. as well as the Oak Hill Garden club offering baked goods at very reasonable prices. For the children, there was face painting, wall climbing and bungy jumping.

The Burns Sci-Tech Charter School had several games for the children to part take in and their Drama Club and Cheerleading Squad performed.

Several of Oak Hills residents sang to the delight of the crowd. Everyone that attended had a wonderful time. The celebration of Riverfest is a true community blessing.
