NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- A barge passing under the North Causeway draw bridge held up the New Smyrna Christmas Parade for more than an hour Saturday, but thousands stayed in place for the ensuing pageantry, which didn't disaapoint
The parade was led by Mayor Adam Barringer who served as grand marshall. Also in the procession were commissioners Jack Grasty, Jim Hathaway and Judy Reiker.
The parade was followed by the Boat Parade on the Intracoastal Waterway sponsored by the Anglers Club.
