SANFORD, Fla -- Sanford cops are investigating an apparent murder-suicide that took place at a residence in the Carriage Cove neighborhood.  

Here is a synopsis of what occurred at noon as described in an email media alert to Headline Surfer by Sanford Police PIO Bianca Gillett at a residence on Twin Coach Court: A woman had not shown up to work that day, and had recently reported to coworkers that she was having some problems with her husband. Sanford Police found the husband and wife deceased inside the residence due to apparent gunshot wounds. 

"The investigation is still ongoing; however, it appears at this time to be a murder-suicide," Gillett said.
