SANFORD, Fla. -- The Seminole County Sheriff's Office celebrates the well-deserved retirement of K9 Siri.

Born in 2016, Siri is a rescue chocolate Labrador Retriever with a unique talent — she's expertly trained to detect odors from electronic devices.

Siri joined the Seminole County Sheriff's Office in 2017 and has been an invaluable member of the Digital Forensics Unit ever since. Her dedication and hard work have significantly impacted the SCSO's operations.

As Siri embarks on this new chapter, she will live with her beloved handler, Detective Geraldine Blay Raffo, ensuring she is surrounded by love and familiarity. Seminole County Sheriff Dennis Lemma appreciates Siri's invaluable work with Detective Raffo: "Thank you, Siri, for your years of service and dedication. Enjoy your well-deserved retirement!"

This was a Seminole County Sheriff's Office Happy New Year post from several years ago with Siri, the Chocolate Lab Electronics Detection K-9. This video features Siri’s handler, Detective Geraldine Blay, and the great work she and the SCSO Digital Forensics team do on a daily basis. It particularly highlights one of the law enforcement agency's most challenging cases of 2019.
