DEBARY -- The DeBary Hall Historic Site is displaying a “Women through History” exhibit through Sept. 11.
The museum-quality exhibit, which went on display Aug. 21, was created by two Port Orange girl scouts who are working to earn the Girl
Scout Gold Award, the highest international award in scouting.
The teens, Cheyenne Conrad and Heather Larson, are members of Girl Scout Troop 450 and are juniors at Spruce Creek High School.
Their traveling exhibit, which focuses on women’s achievements, uses Girl Scout memorabilia to illustrate the timeline of women through
history. It includes pictures, media clippings, books, vintage Girl Scout uniforms, and personal accounts about Girl Scouts - all of which were donated by people from around the country.
