They appear bigger and better than you and me in every way they want you to see, but appearances can be deceiving you realize once they speak.
Be wary of the one that bears a cross and shares a hug. Think twice about the one that seems to be everywhere and anywhere. Another will offer you a deal and turn you away, letting you know he dropped a check your way. Then there's the one that sits on the end, dazed and confused from the experience in space.
Finally, there's the one with the shiny suit and polished look, with the charm of a hyena; a wolf in sheep's clothing, he'll quote a phrase from a book.
They see themselves above reproach. That what is available is their's for the taking. For who are we to dare challenge their authority; not with their handlers and advisers, handsomely compensated.
They have a plan. Who are we to question? Money is no object as they so clearly show; for they are the self righteous who like to put on a show. With their props and their speeches; they cloud the clear waters.
But if you look deeper and maintain persistence, you'll find the ugliness underneath as they shudder in a wall of silence knowing you are on their tail.
For they really are no better than you and me. They have taken the road less traveled, for they don't have the stamina to overcome the paths of their own deceit. Shallowness and facades are their collective sense of place. Greed and lack of self discipline in addressing their own private affairs is why they hate the rays of sunshine exposing their play.
What they fail to understand, but what we know from the long roads we travel; that no matter the sacrifice, we always find the true way. For the real cross is in the heart; forget all the adage of charm. They are not real; just weak and desperate to swarm.
Freedom my fellow citizens is a beautiful thing; to write the wrongs; to showcase the records, leads us away from their closed structure of emptiness and fraud.
We can stand tall and show them the way in looking at what they don't want to see. For once this is done, life will be better for you and for me. They need to balance their own checkbooks and quit taking from you and from me.
