DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Whether it rains the remainder of this week remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: It's going to be hot! hot! hot!

With temperatures in the mid-90s, the heat index is expected to hover between 103 and 104. 

Here is the detailed forecast for Central Florida's I-4 corridor from the National Weather Service in Melbourne:

Today: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 4pm. Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 95. Heat index values as high as 103. South wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Tonight: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 7pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 77. South southeast wind 5 to 10 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny and hot, with a high near 96. Heat index values as high as 104. South wind around 10 mph.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 77. South wind around 5 mph.

Thursday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Sunny and hot, with a high near 96. South southeast wind around 5 mph.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 77. East southeast wind 5 to 10 mph.

Friday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Sunny and hot, with a high near 96. Calm wind becoming east southeast around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Friday Night: A 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8pm. Mostly clear, with a low around 77. East southeast wind around 5 mph.

Saturday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Sunny and hot, with a high near 97. Calm wind becoming west southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Saturday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 8pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 78. West southwest wind around 5 mph.

Sunday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 95. West wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
