He's outraged, as are many across the country, with the snarkiness of Iowa Sen. Joni Ernst and her reaction to critics of the MAGA Medicaid cuts in President Trump's 'Big Beautiful Bill designed to benefit the rich.

NEW SMYRNA Beach, Fla. -- Iowa GOP Sen. Joni Ernst's response to Medicaid cut critics at a town hall on Friday, "Well, we are all going to die," has created a nationwide buzz.
Among those is New Smyrna Beach native Bob Morrison, who now resides in Tallahassee. "This is typical of the Trumplicans," Morrison told Headline Surfer. "They are unfamiliar with caring or empathy for others. They only care when something hits them directly."

Here is how Rolling Stone explained the fallout from Ernst's explanation: Sen. Joni Ernst is encouraging her constituents to think big-picture about the Medicaid cuts in the “big, beautiful” bill President Donald Trump and House Republicans passed last week. The Iowa Republican tried to justify the cuts -- which are expected to kick at least 10 million people off the health care program -- during a town hall event today. An attendee appeared to yell out, “People are going to die!”
Ernst began to respond but then stopped herself, exasperated. “Well, we all are going to die,” she said, smirking as the audience jeered.
Rep. Brendan Boyle (D-Pa.) pointed out while arguing against the bill last week that of the millions of Americans projected to lose coverage because of the “big, beautiful” bill, exactly zero are undocumented, as undocumented immigrants are ineligible for Medicaid.
The tax bill does, however, cut federal Medicaid funding to states that use their funds to provide care for undocumented immigrants. The cuts, which will affect millions of vulnerable American citizens, are in service of giving the wealthiest Americans a tax break.
Ernst continued to claim that Republicans are looking out for the less fortunate: “Listen to me when I say that we are going to focus on those that are most vulnerable,” she said in response to her constituents booing her. “Those that meet the eligibility requirements for Medicaid, we will protect. We will protect them, OK? Medicaid is extremely important here in the state of Iowa.”

Bob Morrison said Trump's Big Beautiful bill is pure ugliness and only serves to take care of the uber-rich at the expense of working-class Americans like himself and countless others, not to mention the poor who count on Medicaid for survival.
Morrison is amazed at how Trump continues to push his MAGA agenda with what he sees as insane and destructive tariffs, attacks on Harvard University, and on and on, still stunned he was re-elected in 2024 despite his 34 New York felony convictions in a Manhattan courtroom in his historic criminal hush money case.
"Yet... Here We Are," Morrison said." He'll run the con until he is stopped. He is persistent with his criminal actions."
