NSBNEWS.net photos by Henry Frederick. Mayor-Elect Adam Barringer (in the light blue shirt in two left photos and in last photo) was invited and attended a barbecue Saturday of the Inlet Shores homeowners association.
Also there was City Commissioner Jim Hathaway, a resident there (third photo on the right), though the two only greeted one another and did not talk about city issues as witnessed by NSBNEWS.net as not to violate the Sunshine law. Barringer was invited by Inlet Shores resident Terri Lynn Brearey. About 60 people among the 200-plus residences there attended the twice-yearly picnic. Barringer sent out praise for all those who voted in Tuesday's election, regardless of who they voted for and said he would "work hard for everyone." Barringer will be sworn in as mayor on Tuesday.
