NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. -- There's a slight chance of showers today, but otherwise the forecast throughout Central Florida calls for mostly sunny skies through Friday, at least, according to the National Weather Service in Melbourne.

Here is the weather outlook:

Today: A 20 percent chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 83. Northeast wind around 10 mph. Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low of around 70. East wind around 5 mph.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 84. East wind 5 to 10 mph. Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 69. East wind around 5 mph.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 84. Light east wind increasing to 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Monday Night: Clear, with a low of around 67. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 85. Light and variable wind becoming east northeast at 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 67. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Wednesday: A 20 percent chance of showers. Sunny, with a high near 84. Light north-northeast wind becoming east-northeast at 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low of around 67. East-northeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
