ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Central Florida forecast calls for showers and thunderstorms through Monday, according to the National Weather Service in Melbourne.

Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms are likely, mainly before 10 p.m. Partly cloudy, with a low around 76. West wind around 5 mph, becoming south in the evening. The chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and a quarter of an inch, except higher amounts are possible in thunderstorms.

Friday: A slight chance of showers, then showers and thunderstorms likely after 11 am. Increasing clouds, with a high near 93. Heat index values as high as 103. South-southwest wind around 5 mph. The chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch are possible.

Friday Night: Showers and thunderstorms are likely, mainly before 8 p.m. Partly cloudy, with a low around 76. West southwest wind around 5 mph, becoming calm in the evening.
