NEW YORK - The Knicks defeated the Pacers 111-94 in Game 5 tonight, extending their season and forcing a Game six showdown Saturday in Indiana.
Jalen Brunson led the Knicks with 32 points, while Karl-Anthony Towns added 24 points and 13 rebounds. The series is now 3-2 in Indiana's favor.
The Knicks held the Pacers to their lowest point total of the series, limiting their offensive output. Tyrese Haliburton, who had a stellar Game 4, struggled offensively, scoring just 8 points for Indiana on 2-7 shooting and six assists.
Bennedict Mathurin picked up the slack with 23 points in 25 minutes. Pascal Siakam scored 15 points on just 5-13 shooting.
The Pacers still lead the series 3-2, and Game 6 will be played at 8 p.m. Saturday in Indianapolis. The winner of the best-of-seven series will face the Western Conference Champion, the Oklahoma City Thunder, in the NBA Finals.
