New logo for NSBNews.net and VolusiaNews.net identifies our coverage areas

If you are reading this blog, then you will have seen the new banner logo on the home page. It's much more pronounced and both website names are together as opposed to being on opposite sides. Whether you call us up through NSBNews.net or VolusiaNews.Net, you come to the same exciting daily online-only newspaper in Volusia County.

Many people ask me why two names? The answer is simple: We started as NSBNews.net with coverage for New Smyrna Beach, Edgewater and Oak Hill. Soon after we had a "Volusia County/state section with several stories under that heading. I was asked by people elsewhere in the county to include their communities as well. With that VolusiaNews.net was added.

At first they were to distinct websites, which meant double the work. So I combined them into one. From this point forward, stories in New Smyrna Beach, Edgewater and Oak Hill, will be promoted with a teaser line: NSBNews.net. For stories in Volusia Counties other 13 cities, the teaser line will be marked VolusiaNews.net.

NSBNews.Net is and has been since April 7, 2008, greater New Smyrna Beach's daily source of news, and since October, reaching into the rest of Volusia County with VolusiaNews.net.

We don't force you to buy a subscription in order to read all of our online content like others. And our news is around the clock, seven days a week. Check out our Facebook fan pages for NSBNews.net and VolusiaNews.net and click "like."
