NSBNews.net brings news of New Smyrna Beach to former residents across USA

NSBNews.net has not only become a staple for greater New Smyrna Beach, but also for those from here who live in the far reaches of our great nation. Take this e-mail, for example, that I received overnight Friday from Mac Wall of Portland, Ore.:

Henry... We are long-time condo owners and recent retirees that winter in NSB so we have a 25 year history with the town. Your site is giving us a great way to stay in touch with our favorite beach community and follow important news. It has been a challenge over the years to know what is really going on in NSB beyond the cute and chatty stuff that is fluff

and fails to reach the granularity that works for a serious member of the community.

The DBNJ (Daytona Beach News-Journal) gives it a try, but in all fairness, newspapers cut reporting and become less relevant by the hour, unfortunately.

NSB is a fine place BUT it has challenges that get glossed over and hidden from the man-on-the-street. To be a "community," we must have a common understanding of issues, challenges and opportunities. Another successful Wine Walk does not a community make....quality of life is central but the serious issues must be addressed in the sunlight and seriously.

Thanks for reporting on governance, administration, business and, hopefully, more on the vision-makers who are charged with and want to make NSB more open/transparent, stronger, better and successful.

NSB has some many wonderful ingredients other communities would die for...let's raise our gaze beyond the tops of our shoes and find the mettle to create the ultimate Atlantic beach community...but let's try to keep a secret as long as we can!

Thanks for your work.

(Yes, we are bi-coastal...crazy to see the ocean on the "wrong side" out here.)
