Orange County Sheriff's Office arrests alleged child sex predator

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Orange County Sheriff's detectives stopped a predator Tuesday before he had the chance to harm a child.

Alan Chambers was arrested after he attempted to meet someone he thought was a 14-year-old boy - but it was actually an undercover detective, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said. Chambers now faces felony charges of solicitation of a minor, transmission of harmful material to minors, and unlawful use of a two-way communication Device.

Orange County Sheriff's detectives want to know if there are additional victims who are minors. Anyone with information is asked to call the law enforement's non-emergency line at 407-836-4357.
