ORLANDO, Fla. -- Following a months-long Internet Crimes Against Children investigation, the Orlando Police Department’s Fugitive Unit arrested a 42-year-old man on Tuesday implicated in the alleged crimes.

The investigation that led to the arrest of Armondo Dwayne Figueroa began in October 2025 after OPD’s ICAC Unit received cyber tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding files containing child sexual abuse material linked to a Google account.

Investigators determined the suspect was using a VPN to conceal his identity, requiring numerous subpoenas and multiple search warrants to identify Figueroa and gather evidence. Once the investigation was complete, detectives obtained an arrest warrant.

Figueroa was charged with:

- 51 counts of Possession of Material Depicting the Sexual Performance of a Child

- 2 counts of Animal Cruelty – Film, Possess Image/Video of Animal Sexual Activity

"Those who exploit children and other vulnerable victims have no place in our community," Orlando PD posted in social media. "Our investigators remain committed to identifying those who exploit others, building strong cases, and ensuring they are held accountable under the law."
