Osceola Sheriff's Office: Roommates arrested in alleged armed robbery invasion

KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- Two roommates are being held at the Osceola County Jail after the long arm of the law arrested them over the weekend without incident at their residence and recovered proceeds from an armed invasion, according to an official with the Osceola County Sheriff's Office.

Here is a synopsis of what occurred 12:31 a.m. Saturday incident as described in an email media alert from Osceola County Sheriff's Major Jacob Ruiz to Headline Surfer: Deputies responded to the Travelodge, 2295 E. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, Kissimmee, to a report of an armed robbery home invasion. Deputies were advised two suspects identified as Eddie Sanchez, 21, and Luis Rosario, 23, went to the victim’s motel room armed with firearms and demanded money from him. 

The incident started over an argument earlier in the evening which later escalated into an armed robbery, he said. Deputies were able to locate Sanchez and Rosario at their residence where a firearm and the victim’s property were recovered.

"Both Eddie Sanchez and Luis Rosario met with detectives, only Luis cooperated with the investigation," Major Ruiz noted.

Eddie and Luis were both booked into the Osceola County jail without bond on felony charges of armed robbery home invasion with a firearm, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, and grand theft.
