PIERSON, Fla. -- A reminder from the Pierson town officials: Anyone wanting to vote in the Nov. 6 general elections must be registered by Tuesday, Oct. 9.

The deadline is posted on the town's website.

There is only one local race on the Nov. 6 ballot: Lambert James Anderson is challenging Seat 1 Council incumbent James T. Peterson.

Three other incumbents will not be on the ballot because they went unchallenged during qualifying in June and returned to the town council: James Sowell, Mayor; Thomas R Larrivee, Council Seat 2; and Robert F. Greenlund, Council Seat 3.
