Protesters against ICE take over freeway, clash with law enforcement in downtown Los Angeles

Key News Network video / June 8, 2027 / DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES – A large group of anti-ICE protesters has taken over the 101 Freeway between Broadway and Alameda Street Sunday afternoon. California Highway Patrol officers have responded by establishing skirmish lines to maintain control of the area on the third day of protests against the presence of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in Los Angeles. Several individuals have been arrested on the freeway, though it remains unclear if there are any injuries resulting from the incident. Law enforcement deployed tear gas, flash bangs, and less-lethal munitions in an attempt to disperse the crowd.
