ORLANDO, Fla. -- Rain will continue until mid-week in Central Florida, with daytime temperatures in the upper 80s. 

Sunshine will return on Tuesday, with possible rainfall in the afternoon. Then, it's sunshine through Sunday, with temperatures in the low-to-mid 90s. And that means a lot of folks will flock to the beaches in Daytona, Ormond, Ponce Inlet, and New Smyrna.

Here is the extended forecast for Central Florida from the National Weather Service in Orlando:  

Tonight: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 11 pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69. South southeast wind around 5 mph.

Tuesday: A 20 percent chance of showers after 3 pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 84. South southwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 67. West southwest wind around 5 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 87. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the morning. Wednesday Night: Mostly clear with a low around 68. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 91. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon. Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 69. West wind around 5 mph.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 93. West southwest wind around 5 mph. Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 71. West-northwest wind around 5 mph.

Saturday: Sunny and hot, with a high near 95. West wind 5 to 10 mph. Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 72. West wind around 5 mph.

Sunday: Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 96. West southwest wind around 5 mph.
