Sheriff's Office: Two bodies found in home in Ormond-by-the-Sea

ORMOND-by-the-SEA -- Volusia County Sheriff's investigators were at the scene of a residence in Ormond-by-the-Sea, where the bodies of two adult men were located inside the home on Sunday afternoon.

Deputies were dispatched to 58 Alamanda Drive after a woman and her boyfriend drove to the house because the woman had been unable to contact her adult son.

When the two arrived at the house and got no answer, the boyfriend said he opened the door just a crack and saw a body lying on the ground," Sheriff's spokesman Gary Davidson said. "The man shut the door and called 911 at 3:18 p.m. The first responding deputy arrived at the scene and went into the house and found two bodies on the living room floor.

The victims haven't been identified and the cause of death hasn't been positively determined yet. The Sheriff's Office's Major Case Unit is leading the investigation.

Additional details will be released as they become available, Davidson said.
