



I am thankful for my father and brothers and sisters and other extended relatives. I am also thankful for my friends.
I am thankful for my relative good health. I am thankful for my college education and my career in journalism. I am thankful for all the opportunities to have written good stories and I'm thankful for the numerous awards.
I am thankful for the residence I share with my wife in Sanford for it is our home. I am thankful for our Yorkie, Napoleon, and our mini-macaw, Paulie Wally.
I am thankful for most of the memories of my life. And even some of the not-so-pleasant memories, if they helped me to make positive changes or if I leaned from bad decisions or mistakes.
I am thankful for the creation of this internet newspaper, even if the advertising or revenue side has not been as successful asI hoped or envisioned. There is always the potential it could get improve.
Most of all, I am thankful for life and the opportunity to continue to learn about the people and world around me. I am thankful to be alive on this my 53rd birthday. And to experience what lies ahead in the hours, days, weeks, months and years ahead, God willing.
