EDGEWATER, Fla. -- When have you seen a military parade in the United States?

Never in my lifetime that I can recall.

When I have seen such parades with soldiers, tanks, missile launchers, trucks, planes on trailers, etc, they have been by other countries ruled by dictators - the Russians, Chinese, North Koreans.

Editor's Note: Vann first raised the issue the day before the patriotic holiday, on her Facebook page, asking in part: "Does this military parade on the Fourth of July by this egotistical president bother any of you? It bothers me very much!" Responses were nearly evenly split.

Right off the bat, Eileen Harris Butkovic, disagreed with Vann: "Nah! I’m fine with it!"

Kathleen Reilly responded, "Bothers me."

Jeanie Holloman said,  "It bothers me, too.

"Not fine," Eric Rosemund said, adding in part, "Never been done before (that) I hear."

Jose A. Rosa took the opposite view: "Being a veteran, I consider this an outstanding way to show support for all that have served and are serving now, I wish I could be there to march as well in uniform."

Norma Gordon backed Rosa with "amen, Jose."

Karen Pando sees Trump's military parade on the Fourth as a positive.

"It is to support our military and give thanks to our country,"Pardo said. "We should be proud of our military."
