SANFORD, Fla. -- The City of Sanford Parks and Recreation’s Fangtastic Fest will be joining the Sanford Police Department’s Scare-Ford’s Not So Spooky Spookyfest event today from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

These Halloween-themed events are joining forces following an unfortunate postponement of Fangtastic Fest due to inclement weather.

The Sanford Police Department and Parks and Recreation team members worked together to find a solution to ensure the community can enjoy safe events where families can collect candy, learn about Halloween safety, and have lots of fun, said Michael Hernandez, public information officer for the Sanford police force.
