NSBNEWS.net Insta Poll on Swine Flu: Overblown by the media

NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- And just like that, the so-called swine flu pandemic just went away. Or at least that's how it seems.

Here are the results of our most recent NSBNEWS.net Insta Poll question, which asked: The swine flu has garnered a lot of media attention -- what's your take on the issue?

The first option was: It's scary -- the more attention, the better. That was checked off by 14 percent of the respondents.

The second option was: It's another example of overblown news coverage. That was checked off by 86 percent of the respondents.

Twenty-eight people responded to the poll question.

The last media alert from the Volusia County Health Department was issued May 15, stating in part Florida has 69 confirmed cases in the following counties: one in Osceola, Alachua, Indian River, Marion, Clay, Collier, Lake, Manatee, Flagler, Seminole, Okeechobee, and Duval, two in Brevard, St. Johns, and Palm Beach, three in Pinellas, Sarasota, and Orange, seven in Lee, eight in Hillsborough, 12 in Dade , and 15 in Broward.

Volusia had no reported cases of swine flu.
