Political definitions anew with Obama

After the last election it is obvious that the people need a “Political Glossary” to tell them what the candidates really mean when they use certain words and phrases. Here are the true meanings of some of these commonly used expressions:

Stimulus  refers to enabling the party in power to buy votes with mountains of taxpayer money.

Compassion refers to the use of taxpayer money to fund programs to buy votes. Lack of compassion is any opposition to programs to buy votes.

Tax reform an attempt to raise taxes and shift the burden as much as possible to the people who vote for the candidates opposition.

Vital Program any program that spends money in the candidate’s district.

Pork Program a program that spends money outside a candidate’s district.

The Fairness issue is brought up when a candidate’s proposal has little real merit.

The Children are mentioned when the candidate wants to appeal to your emotions and not your intelligence.

Need occurs when some politician wants his supporters to have access to your money.. Greed is your desire to keep what’s rightfully yours.

Taking Away occurs when the amount of taxpayer money given to a group of people is less than anticipated.

Budget Slash usually means that the increase in the program budget is smaller than what the proponents of the program were hoping for.

Giving refers to the process of letting someone keep more of what is rightly his.

Crisis is a word that appears every time someone wants to start a new government program or raise taxes. (The existence of anything one would logically consider a crisis is usually very unlikely).

Change refers to the candidate’s desire to substitute his hand in the cookie jar for his opponent’s hand that is now in the jar. Change also refers to the fact that we are changing from being the world’s greatest nation to something a lot less.

Hope expresses the candidate’s desire that no one in the electorate realizes that none of his ideas or beliefs can in any way help the people.

Making It “A Living Constitution” is the act of destroying the Constitution altogether.

This list only scratches the surface. The ability of politicians to abuse the language is limitless.
