New Smyrna Beach man charged with burglary after allegedly trying to sell stolen TV

NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- A 25-year-old man was arrested late Friday night on burglary charges after trying to sell a television at 800 Faulkner St. he took earlier in a burglary, New Smyrna Beach police said.

Brian Scott Steen, of 515 Roper St., was charged with burglary while trying to sell a TV that belonged to the victim, 55-year-old Brigman.

Valerie Joyce wrote in her report of the 11:06 p.m. incident: "Officers responded to a report of a residential burglary.Their investigation resulted in the arrest of Brian Scott Steen for Dealing in Stolen Property. Steen was apprehended while preparing to sell a television that was stolen during the burglary. He was transported to Volusia County Branch Jail with a $1,000 bond. The investigation is continuing for additional suspects, and the recovery of additional property stolen from the residence.
