For all of you who didn't want to get involved in what was going on at the hospital by not attending the meetings and demanding answers, are you ready for your "dry" colonoscopy, 'cause here it comes, big time! Say ah...
Each and every taxpayer in the hospital district is going to be responsible for more than their share of the estimated $4 to $8 million in legal fees that it is going to cost us to pay for all of the high paid attorneys in an attempt to straighten out all of the screw ups by the hospital board members the past couple of years. Between the secret meetings outside the Sunshine that led to the lawsuit and Circuity Judge Richard Graham throwing out the merger and the so-called "cure" by the Adventist and the local board, the whole situation is a mess.
The cure was their febble attempt to make right the wrongs committed by Bert Fish CEO Bob Williams and attorney Jim Heekin, who did their best to try and do an end-around with the the public.
That is now going to cost you, the taxpayer, a mint.
They even screwed up again last night!
What should really have each of you feeling the pain while riding the snake, is the fact that several folks took their money and ran like thieves in the night, folks like Bob Williams, and his million-dollar golden parachute, and others whose names have been mentioned time after time, to which you never paid attention and/or questioned.
So enjoy your ride on the snake.
Until the next time, Bob Tolley
