Do the Citizens of New Smyrna Beach deserve the sacrifices or the blood being shed by our brave men and women in the military day in day out, as they continue to serve all around the world and in two wars, while their families worry and cry on the home-front, in order for every American to have the freedoms that we enjoy each minute of every day? Not from my vantage point on the perch!
Today on Veterans Day, I yet again attended the yearly ceremony to remember and honor those who have made the supreme sacrifice for this city and our country, attended for the most part by most of the same faces that I see year after year.
People came on crutches, and on walkers, and even in wheelchairs, to be present today, and yet where were the rest of our retired citizens, especially the veterans. The only folks with a real excuse are those who had to work! The others were too lazy or too busy, focused for the most part on their own self-centered and meaningless little world, to even bother to make the effort to come out on Veterans Day, to bow their heads in silence and pay respect to those who have already given their lives for this country, and to those who continue to do so even as I write this.

These are the same little people who refuse to partake in any our government meetings and processes, yet cry like the little children that they are if their taxes go up one dime, or if things do not go exactly as they think or want them to go. What a waste of a supposed life! You should all be ashamed of yourselves!
