Festive Saturday here in New Smyrna Beach

Sera and I have had a very busy day on this sunny Saturday in New Smyrna Beach: First at the Norwood's Holiday Food & Wine Festival on the North Causeway and now we're here on Canal Street for the NSB Christmas Parade.

Norwood's was jammed inside and out with hundreds of people coming and going. We got a little face time with Ivanna Trump where a wine brand bearing her name was a big seller.

Last night we were on Flagler Avenue for "Light Up Flagler." It was crowded, but the thing that really struck us more than anything was the lack of parking as cars were forced to either turn left or right on Peninsula and spill into the side streets there are little if any sidewalks. We turned right. Thankfully, we were able to squeeze into a smaller space with the Audi TT.

Regardless, the holiday spirit is alive and well here in New Smyrna Beach and throughout Volusia County and Central Florida, for that matter. We hope that everyone is enjoying what's left of Saturday as the sun begins to descend here at the 5 o'clock hour.

We'll have complete and exclusive coverage of these events shortly. God bless...
