Vero Beach woman, 20, killed in two-vehicle accident near Cocoa Beach

COCOA BEACH -- A young Vero Beach woman was killed early Monday when she lost control of her Nissan while heading west on State Road 520 in Brevard County near Satellite Boulevard, leaving the roadway and then coming back onto it where she collided with an eastbound Toyota, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Taylor Lauren Wynn, 20, was pronounced dead at the scene of the 6:05 a.m. accident, the result of her driver's side door being struck by the other vehicle. Witnesses relayed to troopers on scene how Wynn lost control of her car, which resulted in the collision, FHP spokeswoman Sgt. Kim Montes said.

A passenger in the victim's car, 21-year-old Megan Montgomery of Coconut Grove, was transported by ambulance to Wueshoff Hosptial in Rockledge with minor injuries.

The driver of the other car, 25-year-old Alex Gonzalez Clemente of St. Cloud was not hurt. All three people involved had been wearing their seatbelts. The fatality remains under investigation, Montes said.
