A video clip of the C-Span broadcast showing Democratic Congressman Joe Garcia eating his own ear wax has drawn more than half a million visits on YouTube.WASHINGTON DC -- You'd better get the wax out of your ear and listen up.
That's apparently what Congressman Joe Garcia, the freshman Democrat from Florida's 28th District was doing when he was captured on a C-Span broadcast last week: Eating his own ear wax, that is.

Gross! Disgusting! WTF? Exactly. Garcia's wax-munching incident has since gone viral with more than half a million hits on YouTube. And you thought politics was boring.
Imagine the embarrassment his constituents in western Miami-Dade County as well as the Florida Keys, are feeling. Garcia tried to put his best face on the situation in an interview with NBC Miami, claiming he was merely scratching his ear before he noticed a hangnail which he subsequently took care of.
"My mom always told me to keep my fingers out of my mouth, and now I know why," the congressman said. "I look forward to immigration reform going viral."
