SANFORD, Fla. -- Sanford Police Investigators have arrested 35-year-old Domineke Leevail Terrell regarding multiple motor vehicle burglary cases here in Sanford, and for an existing Volusia County felony warrant related to vehicle burglary and petty theft charges.
Here is a synopsis of what occurred on May 11, 2025, as described by Sanford Police in an email alert to Headline Surfer and other Central Florida media outlets: Just before 2 am, Sanford cops responded to a report of a vehicle burglary in progress in the area of Paloma Avenue.
As officers approached the area, they located Terrell, who matched the description and location of the reported burglar. A query revealed that Terrell had an existing Volusia County felony warrant for a vehicle burglary and petty theft.
Sanford Police Investigators continued to investigate this incident alongside other recent burglary cases and have now confirmed that Terrell is responsible for at least seven motor vehicle burglary cases in the Washington Oaks, Celery Lakes, and San Lanta areas of Sanford.
Upon speaking with investigators, Terrell indicated that he looked for unlocked cars to target.
Sanford Police Investigators thank their community members who provided video surveillance of these incidents and urge anyone who may have been victimized or have information about these crimes to come forward.
