ORLANDO, Fla. -- The weather forecast for Central Florida through the weekend calls for mostly sunny skies, and seasonably hot with daytime temps in the mid-90s.
Here is the latest forecast for the I-4 corridor - from Daytona to Sanford and Orlando - through Sunday from the National Weather Service in Melbourne:
Today: Sunny and hot, with a high near 96. West southwest wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Tonight: Increasing clouds, with a low around 74. West wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Friday: A slight chance of showers, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 92. West northwest wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Friday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11pm, then a chance of showers between 11pm and 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 74. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Saturday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 93. South southeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west southwest in the afternoon.
