News video / Friday, Oct. 2, 2026 / Dennis Haskins, best known for playing the beloved principal Richard Belding on the hit sitcom Saved by the Bell, died on Sept. 28, 2026, in Burbank, Calif., at age 75. He had reportedly battled Parkinson's Disease. Saved by the Bell ran from 1989 to 1993 on NBC. Haskins then went on to star in Saved by the Bell: The New Class, which aired from 1993 to 2000. Haskins starred alongside Dustin Diamond, Tiffani Amber Thiessen, Mario Lopez, Elizabeth Berkley and Lark Voorhies on the hit Saturday morning series.
