DELAND, Fla -- Alvin Mortimer, a Deltona resident with a lengthy criminal record who has repeatedly baited County Councilwoman Heather Post in Facebook rants apparently got too close for comfort in confronting her in an aggressive manner during a break in a recent public meeting that convinced a judge earlier today to slap him with a year-long restraining order.

DELTONA, Fla. -- A fourth candidate has entered the field to run in the 2014 elections for the District 5 seat on the Volusia County Council representing the Deltona area with incumbent Pat Northey term-limited and instead challenging at-large Council member Joyce Cusack of DeLand.
