ORMOND BEACH -- A man walked into the RBC Bank on East Granada Boulevard at 2:30 this afternoon and handed the teller demanding cash. The robber never showed or implied he had a gun and then fled after he was handed an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

DELTONA The 4-year-old boy found floating in a nearby pool by deputies was pronounced dead a short time later in the emergency room at Florida Hospital Fish Memorial in Orange City, A Volusia County Sheriff's spokesman said.

The incident occurred at 600 E. Normandy Blvd. A passing deputy who was on patrol in the area was flagged down at about 4:41 p.m. and told that the boy, Jordan Ugaldea, was missing.

DELTONA -- A 4-year-old boy reported missing just after 4:30 tonight and found by deputies floating in a pool a few minutes later was rushed to Florida Hospital Fish Memorial in Orange City, a Volusia County Sheriff's spokesman said.

"The child didn't live there," Davidson said.

The preschooler was found in a backyard pool at 600 E. Normandy just before 5 p.m. after a deputy was alerted by a family member about 15 minutes earlier on East Normandy, near Hartley Lane.

NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- A name and a face have been affixed to a woman shot and killed Tuesday night in a quiet neighborhood in the Westside just outside the city limits. The victim has been identified as Debra Gibson, 46 of New Smyrna Beach.

DAYTONA BEACH -- The Art League of Daytona Beach will hold a Wine and Cheese Reception and Fine Art Auction on Saturday Feb. 5, to benefit Lilian Place – the oldest house on Daytona’s beach side.

Admission is free for the 6 to 8 p.m. event held at the League’s Main Gallery, 433 South Palmetto Ave.

Art work by 27 specially selected artists will be featured in a silent auction with a portion of the proceeds donated to the non-profit Heritage Preservation Trust of Volusia County.

NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- A 20-year-old woman was found dead this morning at the White Bird Mobile Home Park on North Dixie Freeway, but foul play is not suspected, New Smyrna Beach police said.

She was identified as Halie M. Herndon.
